Who We Are
The Madison Investment Fund (MIF) is a student-led investment fund at James Madison University that serves as an outside money manager to the James Madison University Foundation. The Fund is focused on providing students with a real-world, professional forum to learn the fundamentals of investments and basics of financial theory, while fulfilling the fiduciary duties associated with diligent portfolio management. For our members and the JMU community, we provide students with a platform to apply portfolio management theories. We offer real-world experience in managing an investment fund. We create an educational environment where students can observe the consequences of their investment decisions. We enhance learning opportunities in James Madison University’s College of Business. We also strengthen the reputation of James Madison University’s College of Business.
